Agreements and Conventions

  • Agreement on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic or service passports;
  • General Agreement on Cooperation and Strengthening of Friendly Relations between Cote d’Ivoire and Ethiopia in the economic, diplomatic, commercial, technical and social fields;
  • Agreement on Technical Cooperation in the Field of Health;
  • Air transport agreement signed and revisited on January 18, 2018;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Agricultural Research Institute (EIAR) of Ethiopia and the National Center for Agricultural Research (CNRA) of Cote d’Ivoire;
  • A decree ratifying and publishing the Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire and the Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, signed on October 27, 2017 in Abidjan.

  • The value of bilateral trade reached CFAF 1.1 billion in 2022, compared to 1.300 billion of CFAF in 2021;
  • Over the period 2018-2022, the average value of Ivorian exports amounted to 120 million of CFA francs/year against 1.660 billion of CFA francs/year for imports;
  • the trade balance is in surplus over the whole period for Ethiopia.
