- Economic and Financial Cooperation
The economic and financial cooperation between the two (02) countries has been marked, since 2012, by several actions, the main ones being:
- The cancellation of almost all of Côte d'Ivoire's debt to the United States in 2013, amounting to 214.3 million US dollars, or 108.98 billion CFA francs, representing 98.3% of the said debt, within the framework of the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) Initiative ;
- The signing of an agreement aimed at encouraging investments between Côte d'Ivoire and the United States on July 12, 1998 ;
- The eligibility of Côte d'Ivoire for the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) in October 2012 ;
- Côte d'Ivoire's eligibility since December 16, 2015, for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact Program, which has enabled the country to benefit from approximately 315 billion CFA francs for the financing of various projects ;
- The opening of the OPIC (Overseas Private Investment Corporation) office in Abidjan on January 8, 2016. This institution presented its products on May 8, 2018, in Abidjan to banks, SMEs, and microfinance institutions. On this occasion, OPIC planned to offer loans of up to 20 million dollars at low interest rates and much more flexible conditions.

The various projects are financed primarily by:
- The U.S. Embassy ;
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) ;
- The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) ;
- The President's Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief;
- l’USAID (United States Agency for International Development).
- The projects funded by the U.S. Embassy in Côte d'Ivoire
- Project for the inventory, digitization, and equipment of the National Costume Museum of Grand-Bassam (40,498 US dollars);
- Defense projects - U.S. Embassy (2,285,000 US dollars) ;
- Self-sufficiency projects (agriculture, environment and sustainable development, industry, oil, mining and energy, health and nutrition, 361,000 US dollars) ;
- Julia Taft Refugee Assistance Project (social protection and basic social services, 25,000 US dollars);
- Africa Health and Development Program (nutrition program, 75,000 US dollars);
- McGovern-Dole Nutrition Project (14,000,000 US dollars);
- The projects funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
- CDC Health Project 1 (Strengthening Epidemiological Capacities and Laboratories for Surveillance and Response to Influenza, 2,156,293 US dollars);
- CDC Health Project 2 (Health and Nutrition, 7,588,691 US dollars);
- Rotavirus Vaccine Surveillance CDC (health and nutrition, 100,000 US dollars).
- The projects funded under the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)
- MCC Project 2017-2024: Management and administration of the Governance and Civil Society Program, 64,750,000 US dollars;
- MCC Project - Transport in Abidjan (transport infrastructure and services, 292,340,000 US dollars);
- MCC Project - Skills for Youth Employability and Business Productivity (Education, Training, and Employment, 154,950,000 US dollars).
All the projects funded by the MCC are still awaiting the first disbursements.
- The projects funded under the President's Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
- Project to strengthen the capacities of the Ministry of Women, Family, and Child Affairs (MFFE) - Improve Capacity of the Ministry for Family, Women, and Social Affairs to Ensure Quality Care and Support Services for Orphans, Vulnerable Children, and their Families in Ivory Coast under PEPFAR (Social Protection and Basic Social Services, 456,309 US dollars);
- Health Projects – PEPFAR (Health and Nutrition, 1,043,736,909 US dollars), completed;
- Increase the capacity of MPFFPE (Ministry of the Promotion of Women, Family, and Child Protection) through PNOEV (National Program for the Care of Orphans and Other Children Made Vulnerable Due to HIV/AIDS) and basic social services, 4,659,467 US dollars.
- The projects funded by USAID (United States Agency for International Development).
- Project to improve access to education (Education, Training, and Employment, 4,700,000 US dollars);
- Project to Strengthen Legislative Institutions (Administrative Governance and Civil Society, 7,358,639 US dollars);
- Economic Growth Project - Trade Africa (Public Finance Management, 9,500,000 US dollars);
- Humanitarian Assistance Projects (Justice and Human Rights, 33,936,000 US dollars);
- Global Grant Agreement for Limited-Scope Projects, Democracy and Governance Projects, including Projustice (Administrative Governance and Civil Society, 58,590,699 US dollars);
- Economic Growth and Energy Project - Power Africa (Industry, Oil, Mining, and Energy, 12,553,582 US dollars);
USAID Health Project (Health and Nutrition, 288,477,544 US dollars).
A. The main exported products are: cocoa and its preparations, rubber and rubber products, mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation, bituminous substances, etc.
B. The main imported products are: petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons, plastics and products made from these materials, machines, mechanical appliances and equipment, nuclear reactors, boilers, pharmaceutical products, etc.

- The value of bilateral trade reached 895.8 billion CFA francs in 2023, compared to 1,068.5 billion CFA francs in 2022.
- During the period from 2019 to 2023, the average value of Ivorian exports was 522.6 billion CFA francs per year, compared to 378.5 billion CFA francs per year for imports.
- Throughout the period, the trade balance has been positive for Côte d'Ivoire.
