Agreements and Conventions
Economic and Financial Cooperation
Several agreements exist between the two countries, including:
An Agreement on the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments, signed in February 2016;
An Agreement establishing the Ivorian-Turkish Business Council, signed on March 27, 2015, in Istanbul;
An Air Services Agreement, signed on May 31, 2012, in Istanbul;
An Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation, signed on June 8, 2005, in Côte d'Ivoire;
A Trade Agreement, signed on June 8, 2005, in Côte d'Ivoire.
Furthermore, Côte d'Ivoire participated in the first Turkey-Africa Summit in Istanbul from August 18 to 20, 2008.
Technical Cooperation
During the official visit of H.E. Mr. Alassane OUATTARA to Türkiye, eight (08) agreements were signed on March 26, 2015, in Ankara, namely:
A Framework Agreement on Military Cooperation, Training, and Science;
A Cooperation Agreement on Military Training;
A Cooperation Agreement on Security;
An Agreement on the Mutual Abolition of Visas for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports(Ratification document transmitted to Türkiye through the Embassy in Ankara);
A Cooperation Agreement on Education;
A Cooperation Agreement in the Field of Youth and Sports;
A Cultural Cooperation Agreement;
A Cooperation Agreement in the Field of Tourism.
During his working and friendship visit to Türkiye from December 15 to 17, 2014, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Charles Koffi DIBY, together with his Turkish counterpart, H.E. Mr. Mevlüt ÇAVUŞOĞLU, signed two (02) cooperation agreements:
A Memorandum of Understanding between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs on Political Consultations;
A Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Diplomatic Training, Information Exchange, and Documentation.
Türkiye's Support to Côte d'Ivoire
Türkiye has undertaken several initiatives in favor of Côte d'Ivoire, particularly in the cultural, health, security, and capacity-building sectors. Specifically:
Education: Türkiye awarded 22 scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic year;
Health: On September 26, 2013, Türkiye donated medical equipment worth 80 million FCFA to the Abidjan Cardiology Institute, in addition to a 50-million FCFA donation for the construction of the Mother and Child Hospital in Bingerville;
Security: Türkiye provides technical support to the national police through training in rapid intervention techniques for law enforcement operations, as well as through equipment donations.
A. The main exported products are: cocoa and its derivatives, rubber, and wood.
B. The main imported products are: vegetable or animal oils, pig iron, iron, steel, lime, cement, boilers, machinery, various food preparations, and rubber products.

The value of bilateral trade reached 369.6 billion FCFA in 2023, compared to 148.4 billion FCFA in 2022.
Over the period from 2019 to 2023, the average value of Ivorian exports is estimated at 146.2 billion FCFA per year, compared to 212.02 billion FCFA per year for imports.
During this period, the trade balance is negative for Côte d'Ivoire.
